Tha Bridge Corp (TBC) is a youth development organization committed to empowering Black and Brown youth, ages 8–18, in the Greater New Haven area. We work at the intersection of youth development, racial justice, and health equity—recognizing that systemic barriers such as poverty, racism, family instability, and educational inequity disproportionately impact the communities we serve. These factors contribute to the mental health and well being of our youth participants.

Mentorship & Emotional Support
Youth participate in weekly and monthly mentorship programs where they build meaningful relationships with caring adults who provide consistent guidance, emotional support, and positive reinforcement. These sessions foster trust and create safe spaces for youth to explore their identity, share their experiences, and receive the mentorship many may lack at home. Structured movement and mindful sessions are also offered to our youth participants. Olympic-Style Boxing & Fitness Training
At the heart of our programming are weekly boxing and fitness sessions that serve as both a physical outlet and a platform for emotional regulation and character building. These sessions help youth cultivate perseverance, discipline, and confidence—core traits that translate to academic and personal success. We use fitness as a tool to combat sedentary lifestyles, promote mental well-being, and address disparities in access to health and wellness resources.
🫵
Academic Enrichment & Life Skills
We provide structured academic support, including homework assistance and tutoring, to help youth stay engaged in school and reach their full potential. Our workshops also build essential life skills such as public speaking, teamwork, time management, financial literacy, and leadership development—preparing youth not just for school, but for life.
💪
Family Engagement & Wraparound Support
We recognize the vital role of caregivers, especially single mothers, and offer support services that connect families with needed resources, parenting workshops, and opportunities for deeper community connection. Our work uplifts entire households, understanding that youth development is most impactful when it includes the family unit. Structured movement and mindful sessions are also offered to our youth participants and their parents.
